Daniel Perlin was born and raised in Toronto. He obtained his JD from Osgoode Hall Law School, and concurrently obtained his MBA from the Schulich School of Business. He began his legal career at a large Canadian corporate law firm, and then switched over to work in finance at a major U.S. bank. He is currently in the midst of completing his CFA.
While Daniel’s focus is primarily on dollar business transactions and assisting start-up companies with their corporate governance, contracts and VC funding needs, he has also appeared before the Ontario Superior Court and Ontario Court of Appeal on commercial litigation matters, and has experience in arbitration.
Daniel is a big proponent of spending lots of time outdoors, and you can often find him busy with an outdoor sport or activity, ranging from tennis or baseball, to skiing or hiking. Daniel is an avid reader, and though he usually prefers non-fiction, you can sometimes find him secretly indulging in political and spy thrillers. Daniel is an adventurous eater, and loves trying new foods or cuisines. His love for food extends to his own kitchen, where he enjoys cooking (but only for others) isn’t half bad at it (though he hates cleaning up after). Though Daniel is used to working long hours, he will always try to find time in his day to exercise, see his family, and play with his dog. He’s a fan of the Toronto Blue Jays, Toronto Raptors, and the New York Giants.
